Kuruluş ve Gelişim Süreci

Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi İmmünoloji Anabilim Dalı 2013 yılında Prof. Dr. H. Barbaros ORAL ve Doç. Dr. Ferah BUDAK  tarafından kurulmuştur. İmmünoloji Anabilim Dalı'nın kuruluşu ile ilgili ilk temeller 1988 yılında Prof. Dr. Kaya KILIÇTURGAY, Dr. A. Cezmi AKDİŞ ve Yard. Doç. Dr. Güher GÖRAL'ın çaba ve girişimleriyle Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde başlayan organ nakillerine immünolojik destek vermek amacıyla bir İmmünoloji Laboratuvarının kurulmasıyla atılmıştır.  Daha sonraki süreçte Dr. A. Cezmi AKDİŞ, Uzm. Bio. Ferah BUDAK ve  Dr. H. Barbaros ORAL'ın çabalarıyla İmmünoloji Laboratuvarı Türkiye'de en geniş immünolojik test profiline sahip laboratuvar haline gelmiş, sadece rutin hizmet değil üniversitede yapılmakta alan araştırmalara da destek vermiştir. 2013 yılı başlarına kadar Tıbbi Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalı altında bir bilim dalı olarak yer alan immünolojinin Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu'nun 27/05/2010 tarihinde aldığı kararla Anabilim Dalı olarak yer alması uygun görülmüştür. Bunun üzerine Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Tıbbi Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalı Kurulu 23/08/2010 tarihli Anabilim Dalı Kurulu Kararı ile İmmünoloji Anabilim Dalı'nın kurulmasının ve yeni kurulacak anabilim dalında Prof. Dr. H. Barbaros ORAL ve Doç.Dr. Ferah BUDAK'ın görevlendirilmesinin dekanlığa önerilmesine oybirliği ile karar vermesi üzerine kuruluş süreci başlatılmış ve YÖK'ün izni ve Uludağ Üniversitesi Senatosunun kararı ile İmmünoloji Anabilim Dalı'nın kuruluş süreci tamamlanmıştır. 2017 yılında Dr. Ferah Budak’ın Profesörlüğe yükseltilmesi ile birlikte 2 profesör ile hizmet vermektedir. 2020 yılında Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Diğdem Yöyen Ermiş ve 2023 yılında Dr.Öğr.Üyesi Salih Haldun Bal göreve başlamıştır.


Brief History and Development Process

The Department of Immunology at Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine was established in 2013 by Prof. Dr. H. Barbaros ORAL and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferah BUDAK. The initial foundations for the establishment of the Department of Immunology can be traced back to 1988 when Prof. Dr. Kaya KILIÇTURGAY, Dr. A. Cezmi AKDİŞ, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Güher GÖRAL initiated the establishment of an Immunology Laboratory at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine to provide immunological support for organ transplants. In subsequent years, thanks to the efforts of Dr. A. Cezmi AKDİŞ, Specialist Bio. Ferah BUDAK, and Dr. H. Barbaros ORAL, the Immunology Laboratory evolved into the laboratory with the widest range of immunological tests in Turkey, providing support not only for routine services but also for field research conducted within the university. Until the beginning of 2013, immunology was under the umbrella of the Department of Medical Microbiology. However, in line with the decision of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) dated May 27, 2010, immunology was recognized as a separate department. Subsequently, the Board of the Department of Medical Microbiology at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, in its meeting dated August 23, 2010, unanimously recommended to the Dean's Office the establishment of the Department of Immunology and the appointment of Prof. Dr. H. Barbaros ORAL and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferah BUDAK to lead the newly established department. Following the approval of YÖK and the decision of the Uludağ University Senate, the establishment process of the Department of Immunology was successfully completed. In 2017, with the promotion of Dr. Ferah Budak to the rank of professor, the department has been serving with two professors. In 2020, Dr. Assistant Professor Diğdem Yöyen Ermiş and in 2023, Dr. Assistant Professor Salih Haldun Bal joined the department.
